It's overwhelming how a newborn brings out the generosity in people and when my baby boy was born 3 years ago, I couldn't believe the amount of presents we were bought. Despite being given masses of gifts, there was one in particular that we were truly over the moon with and that's because it was personalised with Adam's name. Seeing his name, the name we'd lovingly chosen for him, turned him into a real little person and I've kept that thought with me when developing all of my products.
I'd bought a sewing machine when I was pregnant, a pregnancy whim (along with heated hair rollers!) that gathered dust until Adam was one. By this point I had my evenings back and decided to brush the dust off (hair rollers still at the back of the cupboard!) and make my baby something beautiful. The first thing I made him was personalised baby bunting which I then made as gifts for new babies, Christenings and Birthdays we were going to. I got great feedback from family and friends and started to get enquiries for orders and so... Arty apple was born.
I'm now a multitasking Mummy who balances the joy (hard work!) of looking after my two gorgeous children during the day and working my socks off as soon as their heads hit the pillow at night. I'm the last one to bed and the first one up but I absolutely love it! Adam 'helps' me stock up at the haberdashery and charms the ladies with his cheeky grin while the arrival of my beautiful baby girl, Emma, has given me the inspiration to add more products to my range.
Arty apple now specialises in bunting, baby blankets, hooded towels, baby taggie blankets, kids aprons and more. All personalised to make that extra special gift or treat for your own little ones. And all made with love by a multitasking Mummy.
