Small Style: Almost Fall

Silas and Finley

ss-1

ss-3
On Silas: Shirt and Shorts- Old Navy, Shoes- Teva
On Finley: Dress- Misha Lulu, Leggings- H&M, Shirt and Boots- Thrifted

As you might be able to tell from Silas and Finley's outfits we haven't quite transitioned to Fall around here. The leaves change colors in November and it's this warm every year in Northern California and every year, without fail, people are always saying, "I can't believe how hot it is so late. When is Fall going to be here?" Judah's birthday is October 20th and that's usually about when it really starts to cool down.

Silas is my sweet four year old. He's silly and strong-willed and strong, but super shy around most people, so people outside of our family don't think of him like that. He doesn't like to talk to anyone except us and out in public or if we have friends over he's usually either sitting in my lap, sitting right next to me, or wanting me to hold him. I'm sometimes concerned that he might feel most like the classic "middle child" out of all four (he's not one of the big boys, who we sometimes group together and not the baby), but maybe that's what makes him so fun and funny. And stubborn.

  1. adorable babies you have my friend. the first photo is major cute! love both their outfits too. and niko is very similar. he stays close until he finds a friend. sometimes he stays with me the whole time. luna is the opposite. she is so independent. she entertains herself anywhere we go. and makes friends with everyone! ha.

  2. Aw, funny (and sometimes frustrating) to see their lil' personalities really developing at these early stages. And Fin's smock/leggings are such sweetness, by the way!
    Happy 'style' day... ;o)

  4. Finley's leggings and boots are so cute. My oldest is my clinger in public. He can get pretty silly but it takes him a while to warm up. I'm sure he gets it from me. Great photos!

  5. What a sweetie. Well, sweeties. I mean Silas. Funny, Stella is a lot like that too, she's shy around people she doesn't know well, calm, and usually perfectly behaved. People always comment on how sweet and well behaved she is. But at home the real Stella shines through in all her funny, loud, talkative, crazy, tantrumy, honeybadger self.
At preschool, she doesn't even sing the songs during circle time, but at home, it's the Stella show! All singing, all dancing, all the time! Ha. What funny kids!
Love their outfits. I've a particular soft spot for pink and red as I remember being told as a child that I couldn't wear those two colours together.

  6. Silas sounds like Joaquin. I've actually been told I need to "socialize" him more! Um.... I think he sounds like a total sweetie, cautious and observant. I love this area by Chico State? We are moving back in November....I am overjoyed!
