(I just noticed that I'm looking down in all of my photos. Whoops! Totally unintentional.)
One of my favorite trends this year is the chambray shirt. It's the perfect piece for my mom uniform (I have a simple, go-to outfit each season that I call my "mom uniform"). It's stylish, comfy, easy, and can be worn a million different ways. I bought two chambray shirts last year that were cheap, but fit just ok. I didn't love them, so I hardly ended up wearing either. I knew that this year I wanted to invest in one that looked good and felt good and I would wear all the time. This Chambray Shirt from Madwell is pricey, but it's definitely worth it in the amount that I have and will continue to wear it. Sometimes it's better to pay more to get an item you love than to buy two (or more) or something you don't love to save a little money.

I love a chambray shirt under a skirt or unbuttoned or tied over a dress. I think it's such a fun look and makes a dress or skirt unfussy and more appropriate for any Fall event.

Another quintessential Fall outfit. Knee high boots with anything are chic. Pumpkin patch, anyone?

I love the denim over denim look, just make sure it's a completely different shade of blue. I love it just by itself, but I wanted to add the sweater to show layering with chambray.
