Mondays - My Day of Rest

silas in the yard

This weekend was another busy one. I always feel overwhelmed with busyness, but then when I have nothing going on I end up scheduling stuff and filling up my schedule. I do love being out and about, staying busy, and being with people. It's also important for me to have some down time, too, so I've unofficially made Mondays my day of rest and kept them free of any plans.

Saturday I had a fabulous time shooting the beautiful, beautiful wedding. Sunday we had lunch and spent time with my dad, worked around the house, and hung out with our sweet new neighbors. Today I got a coffee, vacuumed out my car, visited my grandma (she lives only a few miles down the road) with the kids, and now Finley is napping and the boys are playing outside. I really should do some more cleaning and unpacking today, too. I guess every day is full, but today there's nothing I have to do, unless I want to (except dishes and laundry, I always have to do those, whether I want to or not). Do you have a day of rest?

  2. I send my son to daycare Monday & Wednesday mornings and they are a Godsend to me. Of course, this is my last week of that since I'm having my 2nd son on Friday (!!!) but it was nice while it lasted! (To clarify, he'll still be going to daycare, but I won't have the mornings to myself because of the little guy.)
