Moving to the Country...

boxes

We have almost all of our stuff packed up and moved into the garage of our new house. We can't actually move our stuff into the house and start living there until we've finished painting and ripped out the carpet to reveal the wood floors. We're living with our beds, our couch, dining room table and chairs, some bath towels, some dishes and food, that's about it.

I'm trying not to be too nostalgic about moving (this is the house we brought Finley home to from the hospital) because our new house is everything we've been wanting and looking for. I can't wait to get all settled in over there.

  1. I'm getting ready to move, and it's SO, SO nostalgic.

Memories eat me up sometimes. I am incredibly excited about the next chapter and my new place, but nothing will ever be like this one. :/

  2. first, that's the prettiest lil' moving pile I think I've ever seen. :)
I still can remember how much fun it was moving to our new home when I was a little girl, empty rooms, eating on boxes, sleeping on floors the new memories are so fun to make!

    1. I only moved once as a little girl, but I was too little to remember it. You are SO right, though, my kids are having so much fun with the process! :)

  3. its always so bittersweet..especially with kiddos! have them each take a pic with their old room or favorite spot in the yard and make sure you take a few plant starts with you to bring "new" growth into your new home;) good luck!
