My sweet girl (well, all of my kids) are growing up! A few nights ago we moved Finley out of her crib. She'd climb out as soon as we put her in and each night and nap time we'd find her asleep on the floor.
We recently moved Silas into a big boy bed, so Finley says she sleeps in a "big boy bed," too. We've actually changed all of the sleeping arrangements around- Judah has his own room, Samuel and Silas are sharing a room now, and we don't have any more cribs in our house.
Things are changing, the kids are growing up, and this mama, as always, is a little sad and very excited and proud. Motherhood is quite the adventure: ever-changing and adjusting. I'm not too good with change, but I think I'm getting a little better.
They grow waaaay too fast :( ... those moments put everything in perspective!!! They make me want to make the most of each day with them!!

ReplyDeleteoh help!! :o) Azriel still thinks taking an 'experimental' nap in her big girl bed is just a zone to snuggle and wrestle with mama in - but once I try to leave she jumps out and cries at the door - and then wants back in her crib. I don't want to force/rush the issue... but this soon coming lil' bro is making me mindful of crib ownership issues!

Yay! It is so bittersweet. Just moved our 2nd son in a room with his brother. They grow too fast!
ReplyDeleteYour "baby" girl is so precious! Love those little smiles. I'm noticing that your boys all have biblical names - how did you decide on "Finley" for your little girl? A very cute name, I must say!

ReplyDeleteMy youngest is about to turn one in a couple of days, and I was having similar thoughts today. It's so bittersweet watching them grow.
