Thanks for joining me for this week's Small Style! I hope you are all enjoying the first part of November. So crazy...I can't believe it's November already!

The kids

the kids

the boys

(This is Finley with my friend's daughter, Bayliss. They are so sweet together and Finley loves her so much.)
Bayliss and Finley

On the boys: Jedi, Red Ranger, and Superman costumes- Hand me downs and thrift stores, Shoes- Converse and Vans
On Finley: Top- thrifted, Tutu- H&M, Gift from Aunt Kim, Leg warmers- Baby Legs, Wings- Target, Shoes- See Kai Run, via Zulily, Bow- Adornme Girl

Isn't dressing up so much fun? The boys have a big bin of dress up clothes and are often seen as pirates, cowboys, and superheroes. I always loved dressing up as a little girl. One of my favorites was a 50's costume. My grandma made me a pink poodle skirt and it was so much fun to wear with a ponytail, ankle socks, and a little bit of blush.

Do you have a favorite costume?

  1. my favorite costume from my childhood was when my uncle dressed me as bam bam from the flinstones. my parents never bought me costumes growing up but my gay and nifty uncle took me to the fabric store and got creative and hooked me up! he also stuck a big bone across my bun! :)
i love all their costumes, halloween is so much fun!!

  4. i heart finley's tutu. i wish it was acceptable for grown-ups to wear tutus...on a regular basis. i'd so rock them. actually, probably not. ;)
my son was a cowboy this year and i loved it because i had to buy very little -- a cowboy had and a sheriff's badge -- yeehaw!

  5. oh yes, we have a bin of Goodwill costumes as well- that's where our Halloween costumes came from, too! My middle son can be seen as Spiderman, Superman, or Ironman on any given day of the week!

  9. I was so nervous to link up today, so I sheepishly headed over and was thrilled to see other halloween costumes. That is pretty much the only pictures I have taken in the past week! So I jumped on board. Thanks.
