The Sunday before Thanksgiving we headed downtown for our city's annual Christmas Preview. Eric and I were excited to check out the shops, see the decorations, have a cup or two of cider, and listen to the music. The kids, ok, not the kids, the boys, had one thing on their agenda- see Santa.
Every year since we've had kids we've had a crying baby who doesn't like Santa picture. I wasn't sure about this year. Finley is generally pretty easy-going toward strangers, but this year was no different. Our sweet girl wasn't a fan. It obviously wasn't because of the huge beard, she's quite used to those. Maybe it was the huge white beard?

I do love the crying babies with Santa photos. Poor Santa. (Now that I look at the pictures, none of them seem to fond of Saint Nick. Don't be deceived, the boys love Santa.)

Cute!! My boys hide from any "costumed" person, but I remember avoiding Santa when I was little too ;)
ReplyDeleteHope you had a happy thanksgiving!!
Cute! I have been thinking about taking Ellie to see Santa this year, but wasn't sure where to go in Chico. I might just be posting my "crying baby who doesn't like Santa picture" soon. ;) Anyway, I just found your blog & love it! I am at www.mommyhoodbyjess.com if you'd like to check it out. :) -Jessica

I love their faces. Priceless. :) Last year when we visited Santa, my (then) 4 year old son ran up to him, hopped on his lap, and said (loudly): May I please have an Apple iPhone 4 for Christmas? Pleeeeease?
ReplyDeleteIt was funny, but also embarrassing, since it seemed strange that a kid that age knew all about iPhones. Kids are so funny. :)
