Welcome to Small Style!

On Finley: Bow- Adornme Girl, Dress- Thrifted, originally from Gap, Shoes- Saltwaters
Two weeks ago we joined one of our homeschool groups for a trip to the farm and pumpkin patch. We went to the same farm that we visit each week to get our milk, The Book Family Farm- our favorite, but it was fun to get to walk around and check everything out. This farm used to be a full-on pumpkin patch and Judah even celebrated his first birthday there. When we showed up for his birthday party that year they had a huge sign saying, "Happy Birthday, Judith!"
The day of the trip it was bright and hot and 90 degrees (which is why they weren't very enthusiastic about taking pictures), but we still had a lot of fun. The kids each got to collect an egg (with our 13 chickens they're old pros), shake a jar of cream and make butter, visit all of the animals, and, of course, pick a pumpkin!
Have you visited the pumpkin patch yet? We might have to squeeze in another trip to another of the small, local patches if we can find some time.

i love seeing them all together. you are so blessed. we have not visited any pumpkin patches yet and i think we will miss it this year again cause we are in Portugal. either way, they are not such a big thing in Miami either. :(
ReplyDeleteI feel so behind! Everyone's showing photos of trips to the pumpkin patch, and we've yet to go! Guess we'll have to squeeze it in this weekend and hope there's some left!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Judith...hilarious!!!
ReplyDeletep.s. you have some seriously dedicated link-up-ers. I was certain I would be one of the first this morning...nope, I am number TWELVE! Pretty exciting!
I can't even believe that it is so warm where you guys are! We're sporting cold hands and thinking about breaking out the slippers for the first time this season! But that means we need to go by new fab slippers first, so life is not all that bad!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun day!
We went to a pumpkin patch/hay maze a few weeks ago and it was SO HOT that day, too! Today is finally cool and drizzly and autumn-y. :D
ReplyDeleteI love sister's sundress, and your boys are looking mighty fine, too!
I am so jealous that you can wear shorts and sleeveless dresses. It is cold and rainy here. :(
ReplyDeletei've missed small style and you! love that she can be in a sundress.
ReplyDeletewe made it to get pumpkins at the patch, but just picked them from the ones already picked. i want to get back on a drier day to go out into the patch. that's always one of my favorite fall pictures.
We've been stopping by the orchard as often as we can. Ivy runs through the pumpkin house and we spend a lot of time in the "farm" area with all the animals and play tractors!

We have OD-ed on pumpkin patch visits this year. That's kind of hysterical that the sign read Judith, at least he was only one so he had no idea.
ReplyDeleteadorable photos! i love a trip to the pumpkin patch!

They are all so cute! I love Finley's dress! I had a dream the other night that you and I were riding in a big truck together with all of your boys and Sailor. We were on our way to get Finley. When I saw her I was freaking out like she was a little celebrity! ha ha. I guess she is since I always think she is so cute while looking at your blog. It was funny and weird!
ReplyDeleteYou should be getting your belt any day!
They're adorable girl!
