Welcome to Small Style! Thank you so much for joining me!

Today I have my oldest and my youngest, Judah and Finley, on Small Style. As a mom of four kids, I'm always aware of how often I post about each of my kids. I don't want one to be on my blog more than another and I try to keep it as even as possible. Although, I know that's not entirely realistic. They go through different seasons of wanting their picture taken and being more or less active or able to sit still. Obviously, I have Finley on Small Style way more than the boys, not because I like her the most or because she's my favorite (I don't understand how any parent can have a favorite), but because she has the cute clothes. My boys are boys and they live in jeans and t-shirts. Some of those jeans and t-shirts are cuter than others, but they're still jeans and t-shirts. Although, the boys themselves are pretty dang cute, if I do say so myself. For those of you who have multiple kids are you sensitive to trying to blog about them evenly?
Also, I've been thinking about featuring one (or more) Small Style participant on my blog each week. I'll post the your child's picture on here and link back to your blog. What do you guys think?
Hope you're having a wonderful week! We are! We celebrated our anniversary, the sun is shining, and everyone is well. Yay!

I think it would be a great idea to feature one Small Style participant each week - a nice little community building project. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteAnd nice score on the Anthro dress. It is totally darling, and goes perfectly with those sweet yellow shoes.
i totally got so excited over Finley's dress that I posted the wrong post, so you may want to remove that. I reposted curb market. now her dress? love, love, want it. do i not know there is an anthro for kids? please so no so i don't spend money. :)
ReplyDeleteguest blogger is great idea. would love to participate.
yes, totally understand equal blog time where the children are concerned. and the girl v. boy clothes issue. ;)
OMG-that has got to be THE BEST DRESS EVER!!! I'd be afraid to know how much it cost though- lucky you to win it! And again with those shoes-love, love, love them!
ReplyDeleteYes, my little girl is featured on my blog so much more (and I'm very aware of it!), but like you, it's because she wears the cute clothes! And I figure my older boys were featured more before she was born- ha!
I'd totally love to see guest bloggers!
Oh my goodness, that is the sweetest little dress!! And I love her little face in that first picture. Too cute!!
ReplyDeletegoodness, fin's dress is the sweetest ever! Love it!
ReplyDeleteYes please with sugar on top for guest blogs!

That dress is too die for! I've definitely found over time that I'll post in stages about each of my kids. My blog is mostly ivy & gray since I started it when gray was first born. If I'd had my blog when my older two were babies it would have been all them, too! As they grow up I feel limited to how much I put up about them.

I am so jealous that you got that dress for Finley. I fought my self for months not to get that for Sailor! I love it so much! Now I am wishing I would have asked for forgiveness and just got it for her ha ha. Cutest kids ever!
ReplyDeletejudah looks so big there! and hello, darling finley! anthro for kids? say it isn't so!
ReplyDeleteI love Finley's dress, I had no idea they made kids clothes I'll have to look into that :)
ReplyDeleteYour kids definitely have the coolest clothes around! Luke used to have those Vans and he wore them everyday until they were replaced by the green Converse.
ReplyDeleteFeaturing one family per week would be a good idea. I finally got my kids to sit long enough to take a pic, without making a silly, face this week. Finley has great style!!
ReplyDeleteFinley is a doll in her dress, bow and shoes. She looks more like a toddler!!! Love Judah's hat too. If only my little guy would wear one!!! It is tough to blog about both kiddos evenly for me, when it comes to clothes. I am really trying to dress JQ in comfy, sturdy, stylish clothes but it seems there is just not the selection for little guys, versus girls. Also featuring some small style participants would be fun. I am always interested in other bloggers and where/how they dress their kiddos.
ReplyDeleteSo funny b/c I only posted 2 of my 4 kids this week! :)
ReplyDeleteThat dress is fabulous. LOVE it! How cute is she too :) Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteThat is one well dressed young man!!
ReplyDeletestop it! that dress is the cutest thing EVER!!! what a sweetie!
ReplyDeletei love judah's hat! i am going to work on my boys and see if i can get them to wear hats :)
xo,
erika
LOVE that dress!
ReplyDeleteI am a mumma of 4 kids too and I often think about the same thing. My eldest would hate me to blog about him so I really only have to think about the younger three. Like you I tend to blog my girls more than my son and I blog the baby the most because she is home with me and the others are at school and in uniform most of the week. But I do often wonder if they will ever read back over my blog and wonder why there isn't more or less of them. As long as they feel loved hopefully they won't care.
I worry a little bit about featuring Priscilla too much, too. But I don't find as much cute vintage clothing in Sawyer's size. And I figure someday, he'll probably be glad that he wasn't featured as much! lol
ReplyDeleteThat dress is one of the cutest I've ever seen! Oh my gosh!
ReplyDeleteI understand about evening out the kid blogging features. I only have the two girls so it's not too hard to put them up together all the time, but I'll suddenly see sometimes that I've been talking a lot about Aria or a lot about Amelia and I'll get sensitive to it. Us moms are always thinking about that stuff!
I love the feature idea. Yesterday the blogger friend that I link up with on Wednesdays posted some of her favorites to Facebook and it was so cool to be see mine and some others go up! I think it's a fun nod to the linker-uppers!
Love Finley's dress..what a lucky little girl!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! That first picture is absolutely adorable! Her expression is priceless!
ReplyDeleteAll your kiddos are cute! I always loved dressing up my little ones - they always look like little grown ups. :)
This is so fun! First time joining, thanks for hosting. And like everyone else, I am immensely enjoying that dress :)
ReplyDeleteadorable!
ReplyDeletexo hope you had a great weekend, Morgan!
