The other night Eric and I watched a documentary called Food Matters. I highly recommend it. Over the past few years we've been improving the way we eat, but after watching this we're making even more changes.
It emphasized the effectiveness of raw food. Eating raw, organic fruits and vegetables can help cure and prevent so many physical problems. It talked about the importance of vitamins and supplements and one thing that stood out to Eric was that two handfuls of cashews are equal to one prozac.
I liked the part that talked about how one man lost 150 pounds in one year through a raw diet. You'll have to watch the movie to hear how exactly that happened. It's kind of gross.
Do you like documentaries? We love them!

Morgan,
ReplyDeleteI will totally have to watch this documentary! It sounds so interesting! I think little changes in diet can go a long way, it definately takes discipline though! And the meal looks delicious!
What do you feed the kids? Will they eat veggies? Riley won't and it makes it so hard at dinner time!
ReplyDeleteWe love them also, Netflix has a ton too. That dinner looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteJessica- It's reeeally hard to get them to eat vegetables, especially raw ones. We just feed them whatever raw fruits and cooked vegetables they'll eat, then don't worry too much about it. We've tried the "you MUST eat!" thing and it's not worth it to us.
ReplyDeleteThat looks delicious! And Food documentaries are the BEST.
ReplyDeleteI was recently reading a raw food blog and everything looked so good! I'm a vegetarian and I really wish my husband and kids would be one too, but I like to think that I have some influence on him and the kids! By the way, that dinner looks awesome!
