I'm so excited that the pink dress got featured in another pretty etsy treasury. Now, if I could just make my first sale I'll be a very happy girl.
We're done with homeschool for today and, even though we take a "recess" to let our wiggles out, our house is full of running and giggling (and sometimes screaming and crying) kids. They're dressing up as "bad guys" right now. I told them bad guys scare me.
I'm really excited about my thrifted bowling ball bag. I saw a brown and grey one a few weeks ago, but it was a little expensive. They wouldn't sell the bag and ball separately, so I decided to come back on 50% off day and buy it then. I forgot about the bag and when I went back to see if it was still there it was gone.

(With a vintage radio and owl, thrifted by my husband.)
A few days ago I went to a few thrift stores looking for some baby gates (now that Finley is crawling I need to gate off the stairs) and spotted the bag. I took it up to the register and told them I'd pay the whole $9.50, but I didn't want to keep the bowling ball. (Remember the bowling ball that bounced up into Judah's chin and made him get four stitches? Don't want that happening again!)
So, the checker told her boss that I only wanted the bag, not the ball and she said, "ok, how about $1.50?" Score! It had some weird particle board and metal ball holder thing inside, but I managed to get it out. So, now I have the perfect luggage for Finley. Or, something like that.

Judah is the only kid in the world who has cut himself on a bowling ball.
ReplyDeleteThat bag is way awesome! I want one!
ReplyDeleteMorgan - this is too funny...my mom has that exact same bowling ball bag! I starting laughing when I saw the pic. Too funny. She has a purple bowling ball to match. She was on a bowling league back in the day when I was like five. Good idea using it for luggage. :)
