When I'm doing laundry can you please stay out of mischief? For five minutes? I don't like walking into the living room and finding the fireplace open and ash all over the floor. And, I know you don't like waiting in your bed while I sweep, vacuum, and mop up the mess.
Thank you,
Mama
Other than the ash incident our day has been good. School was completed easily and quickly and then we all had the most delicious lunch. The boys had toast with nutella (I first discovered Nutella when I lived in Australia. So good!) and since Eric came home to eat with us I decided to make something good. I should have taken a picture because the artichoke/sundried tomato focaccia was turned out so yummy! I will definitely be making it again. (But, not too often. It's definitely not the most healthy meal.)

For the first time today I dressed Finley in a non-pink, frilly, ruffly, lacey, girly-girly girl outfit. I love the plaid button up with skinny jeans (or, in this case, leggings) look, but I'm not sure about it for a baby. When Samuel saw her he said, "she's a BOY now!" I was like, "no, she's a girl," and he said, "then why is she wearing that?"

So, what do you think? If you saw her out and about would you think she's a boy? Here she is during lunch without the headband. It is a total Fall outfit and, personally, I love anything on my girl.
(I recently discovered fingerprints on my Rebel's lens, so while I'm waiting for a lens cleaning kit to come in the mail, I'm using my point and shoot. It's much harder to get a good picture!)

morgan, i saw this top and have been on the hunt for one to ruffle up for riley http://bluebirdlucys.blogspot.com/search/label/Tutorials
ReplyDeleteFinley looks darling!
just put a huge red bow on her head and you're golden! or headband with ruffles..flowers...etc :)
ReplyDeleteI think she looks adorable, and even more adorable in person <3
ReplyDeleteNo one's really answering your question, are they? I have to say, i see a little bit of all the boys in her sweet little face, a face that by the way, is very feminine! She's adorable and I love the outfit, with or without a girly headband!
ReplyDeleteHi Morgan! I love your blog, it's definitely become one of my daily reads : ) Finley is beautiful in plaid!! If I had a little girl I would totally dress her in that adorable outfit. I personally gravitate more towards other colors than the typical pink & purples for little girls when I'm daughter day dreaming in retail stores. I would consider a black bow/headband and maybe ultra girly black shoes or something.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestions (and compliments!), girls! I'm definitely going to be using them!
