You might have noticed that I've been taking a little (unintentional) sewing and crafting break. The busyness of life have gotten in the way, but I'm excited to jump back into things. At least a little, as life doesn't look like it's slowing down anytime in the next 18+ years. Recently I did find some time to sew a few gifts for some cute kids.

I made this shirt and tutu for sweet Emma's second birthday. For the tutu I used this tutorial and this tutorial and modified them a little bit.

I am so, so excited to start the Home Ec sewing class in a few weeks. I've always wanted to do one of the Red Velvet Art girls' classes, but circumstances haven't made that possible. Fortunately, this one is at a perfect time and I can't wait to get my sew on!

All of the projects look like so much fun, but I'm most excited to learn how to sew commercial patterns. I really want to make pretty dresses for Finley and I. And, of course, some boys things for my favorite little guys.
Anyone want to join me?

did you use Silas as a model? hahahahahahaha! sooooo cute!!
ReplyDeleteKatie- Yep! Poor guy, but the outfit looked better on a little body! :) Thankfully he's too little to mind. Actually, he didn't want to take the tutu off!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I'd love to do this class, but I just finished my local class in June & need a bit of a break, I think. I wonder if they'll do it again next year? So many interesting things they are making! I just put up a post on my blog last week of some of my recent projects.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!

Totally adorable! I took the past month off from blogging, so I'm just catching up a bit. My littlest is turning 1 in a week, and I'm in the process of making her tutu and birthday girl shirt this week.
ReplyDeleteHow is the home ec class going? It sounds great!
