You all know I love the Pioneer Woman. As does most everyone else in the bloggy world. I love her even more since she's posted that she's a fellow Frye boots fan.
The other night I decided to try a second attempt at the chicken pot pie. The first time I made it I forgot to add salt and the other seasonings and it tasted so bad I couldn't even eat it. This time I made sure to properly salt it. Eric still thought it was bland, so maybe I need to dump the salt in?

I used the last pie crust I had in the freezer, so I'll be making some more soon. I love the Pioneer Woman's pie crust recipe using whole wheat flour. I, also, substituted whole wheat flour in the filling.

Despite Eric's comment on it being too bland, I thought it was perfect. I guess I'll be eating all the leftoevers!
Am I allowed to post a recipe from a cookbook? I'm not sure, so I won't. So, you'll just have to go out and buy your own copy!

That looks YUMMY!!
ReplyDeleteWe made it last winter and my hubby thought it was a little bland, but we ended up freezing half of it and eating the second half later and it was still yummy!
ReplyDeleteThis is so yummy! I love making this for my family because they really like it.
ReplyDeleteYou could ask to post the recipe or you could post a link.
ReplyDeleteI speak for everyone when I say we want you to make gazpacho.
The chicken pot pie looks so delicious! I missed making some. Winter is the season when we always have some pot pies.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love me some chicken pot pie. Now that I'm giving up gluten and dairy, I'm going to miss it something fierce. Even bland chicken pot pie sounds good to me now.
