My sewing area is, also, the playroom. I love the fact that I can sew and craft and be right by the boys. But, I have this little toddler that likes to get into everything.
A few weeks ago he climbed up onto my table and pulled the thread off the machine. That little thing that holds the thread on fell off too. Fortunately, I found it under the table.
The second time I didn't get so lucky. When I noticed it was missing again I searched and searched with no luck. I even offered a dollar to the boy who found it. Still no luck.

The part that's missing goes right there!
The part was on backorder, so I should finally be getting it in the next week or so. Hopefully.
One reason I really, really want to get sewing is because of this cute blog, Posie Gets Cozy. They are adopting a baby and during the wait for their baby girl she is creating an A-mazing wardrobe. Seriously, stunningly beautiful.

Aren't they beautiful? She has even more on her blog. I can't wait to sew like that!

oh i forgot to tell you! you can use the thread holder that is laying down. just put the thread holder stopper thingie on top of it. that's what i used when i first got the machine because i didn't realize it had the other thread holder. you can sew now!!! i guess i didn't realize that's the part. go sew!!!
ReplyDeleteMy mom sewed almost all of the dresses I had growing up. We still talk about the nights she would stay up late to finish one for church on Sundays. I however can barely thread a needle or stich in a straight line, go figure! I hope you get your part soon, can't wait to see what you make!!
ReplyDeleteMorgan,
ReplyDeleteyou reminded me that i have a pattern for you. I will get it copied and maybe next week I can drop it off to you! Have a great weekend!
Hey! I love these! So, when you figure out how to make them, you're gonna teach me, right. With my four little girls all in a row, they'll get lots, and lots, and LOTS of use!
ReplyDeleteWarmly, Julia
