Thankful Little Artists

turkeys

We got this project, I think, from Family Fun Magazine. Ours doesn't exactly look like theirs, but oh well. The boys put their own stamp on it. :)

On each feather I had them list something they were thankful for. The list is pretty funny and a lot of the stuff they said was what they saw looking around the room. Even though they said, "my family" they still wanted to specify the individual people and they "borrowed" a lot of each other's ideas, too!

Judah is thankful for:
Jesus
My family
Captain
My pirate stuff
Our new rug
Our new baby in Mama's tummy
That I have enough food
That I have a fireplace
My turkey countdown (what we called this project)
Santa
Music
My birthday
ME!
Captain's big food (We just bought Captain a huge bag of dog food)
That we're not poor- all my stuff
Mama and Papa
Samuel and Silas
They gym
My brothers
My homeschool
God
My new house
My room

Samuel is thankful for:
God
Our new house
My family
Judah and Silas
My birthday
Judah
Silas (because they were on the same feather, but they needed to be on separate ones, too!)
Santa
ME!
My turkey countdown
Mama
Papa
Our new baby
My new thing of Wonderpets (a magnetic board my mom got for him)
Our new carpet
Baby Jesus
Captain

  1. Sam did something similar. He said - Jesus, my family, healthy bodies, turkey day, my new markers, that I turned 5!, today, & my new house.

children are so sweet ... and honest! :)

    happy turkey day!
