One of the things that I am most looking forward to with my new baby is wearing it in a carrier. I wore Judah on walks, Samuel on walks and story time and other times we were out and about, and I wore Silas pretty much all the time. Being number 4, I'm sure I'll be doing the same with this baby. It is so nice to interact with the kids, soothe a fussy baby, cuddle, and get things done around the house all with free hands.
I'll be using my Moby Wrap from day one. It is a snuggly, comfy carrier that is perfect for the littlest newborn (and perfect for kangaroo holds for preemies). The tying seems a little intimidating, but is actually really easy. I had a friend teach me, but there are also great videos on their website. It only took me a few practices to feel completely confident putting it on.
Another thing I love about Moby Wrap is that they are Chico based. There is nothing better than seeing people all over the country (world?) using an amazing product made right here in my hometown.
Mobys can be used from newborn to 35-45 lbs. There are so many gorgeous colors and patterns, that you can be stylish and wear your baby (very important!).

Oh my gosh! How cool is this!? I've been dying for a Moby wrap since you posted about it with Samuel (or Silas, but I'm pretty sure it was with Samuel). I ordered some other type of sling with Amelia that was great for the first month, but she got too big for it too quickly! I'm anxious to be able to wear this baby around the house, on walks, etc. Definitely enter me, please! :)

ReplyDeleteI LOVE the idea of carrying my little one. I've tried several carriers and my back just doesn't do well for long periods of time, however... I tried borrowing something like a moby (maybe it was) from a friend with my last baby and LOVED it! (Had to return it though) :-(

ReplyDeleteI have been searching for something other than my carrier that I have (which I don't like because it hurts my back. The Moby Wrap even looks comfortable to wear, which is what I'm looking for.I would love to wear something that I can wear for long periods of times without being in pain, so that I can enjoy the time with my son!

I wish I had known about these with my son! A friend introduced me to the Moby not long ago and I told her it made me want to have another baby just to use it. Ha!I would definitely have to get the black one - it "goes with everything."

ReplyDeleteMy son is a couple of days away from 3 weeks old and is still fully attached to me, and I am so desperate to start working again at home. I'm a cake decorator, wanna be at least =P I am dying for a moby wrap, so that my husband doesn't always have to be around if I need to get something done, since my little booger can't stand to be put down.
I love the moby wrap! The sienna is the perfect color!

ReplyDeleteI would love a Moby Wrap. I gave birth to my 5th baby in September. I've tried several other wraps, carriers, and slings and they all killed my back. Friends have recommended the Moby Wrap to me and I've been dying to get one. My baby girl is such a tiny peanut and she absolutely hates when I'm not holding her close to me. I am a huge advocate of the Moby and, as a birth doula, I recommend them all the time but I don't even own one :( I've been borrowing one from a friend and it would be so nice to have one that I know is mine and can keep. (By the way-- my little one's name is Silas too! He is six months old and loves to be worn).

ReplyDeleteMy little man (9 weeks) has been terribly fussy lately and wants to be carried all the time. I was sad when I didn't receive a Moby at my shower, and look forward to having one so that I can get out more without having to constantly lug the stroller around. I love the sienna color.
ReplyDeletePlease, please, please pick me to win a Moby Wrap. My daughter is the love of my life, but I can't function because I have spoiled her. I've tried another sling, but she can't stand it. She is 5 months and 18 lbs., which makes her too big for the other slings that I have seen. She doesn't like the straight-jacket type slings that I have tried with her. I would love a Black Moby Wrap, because it would give me the freedom I need to be productive and give Imani the security she needs to be with me. I take classes at night and I have two older children. I feel as if I can't give them as much attention, because I can't get around with her as well as I could with a Moby Wrap! It would be the perfect accessory to help me stay in my older boys lives as I go to their ball games with their sister in toe.

ReplyDeleteI tried a moby wrap when Alexa was first born & loved it! I didn't end up getting it because I decided on the hotsling. It worked great for the first 6 months, but now I really need something that will support my back more. I've been thinking that the Moby is what I need!
