I don't really consider myself a crafty person and I haven't really had the desire. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the perfectionism in me that wants every little thing to be just right. Maybe it's the young marrieds group Eric and I were in and not wanting to be anything like the snobby girls who also happen to be scrapbookers. Maybe it's just been being way to busy with baby after baby to do much of anything else.
But, alas, I'm starting to get the crafty bug! Something changed in me when we left our church and now I finally have time to be domestic. I'm cooking, and baking, and cleaning, and decorating, so why not do some crafts, too?
I made two mini practice crocheted blankets, but I finished my first full size (well, baby size) one. Yay! I'm so proud of myself! Now I'm working on a practice scarf. Good thing I have boys that like imperfect items.
My grandparents have a sewing machine for me, so I'm really excited to start sewing again. I think the last time was the sewing class I took in junior high. So, we'll see where I go with this, but for now it's just fun to experiment.

Awesome job, Morgan! You just needed to release the crafty bug within you and look what came of it! Woohoo! Go craftymama! :)
