Day 28: It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Well, Thanksgiving is down and now the Christmas season is officially here. Or, maybe it's been here for the last several months? Anyway, I love Christmas.

For the last several years we have cut down our own Christmas tree. After having quite the experience up in the "real" forest, we now go to a tree farm up in the mountains about 20 minutes away.

For all my new readers, this is the tree that Eric tried to bring back to our house.

Christmas 04
(Sorry Eric, I will not let you live this down. It's just too funny!)

I knew it looked big out in the forest. When he got it on the car I laughed and took a picture. But, when he refused to take it off the car it wasn't as funny. Needless to say, we got it home and it wouldn't fit in our house. We ended up taking it to the church and putting it in the foyer.

So, for the last two years we've stuck to the tree farm and we all love it. We get that outdoorsy, forest-y feel. But, they provide the saw, wrap it up, and put it on your car for you. They, also, have animals you can feed, a fire pit, and hot chocolate for sale. (Although, I think we'll be stopping by Starbucks on the way up there with my birthday gift card!).

  1. That is too funny. We love going up to Butte Meadows. We would have today but hubby had to work and I unfortunately got so sick. So did little man. So this year different plans will have to be made. :)
