Two Months!

I can't believe my baby boy is already two months old (as of yesterday, the 25th). Time is definitely flying by! We went to his two month appointment on Tuesday (the 24th). He was 14 lbs, 8 oz (90th percentile) and 24 inches (95th).

Silas gets fussy in the evenings, usually between 8 and 9pm. I asked the ped if it could be from a dairy intolerance (after doing way too much online research). He said that due to his weight gain and how healthy he is, it's highly unlikely (thank goodness! I love my decaf iced mochas!) and it is probably due to overstimulation and being tired at the end of the day. Right now Silas is in "paci training," because it really is nice to be able to give him a pacifier as one way to calm him. He loves swaddling, but it's not always easy in the heat or when we're out and about. Sometimes he'll take it, sometimes he won't, but mostly I have to hold it in his mouth. I try both the Soothies and the Nuk, but I just ordered the Natursutten pacis. They are both bpa free AND easy to clean!

Mama and my big boys

My big boys are very much into pirates. They own the Veggietales 'Pirates Who Don't Do Anything' music video. They love to sing the song and it's hilarious to hear the words come out of their mouths, "We are the pirates who don't do anything, we just stay home and lie (the say fly) around, and if you ask us to do anything, we'll just tell you we don't do anything." They have yet to see the movie, it's not on video yet. They both have pirate shirts (Silas has a matching pirate onsie) and pirate "featherswords", like Captain Feathersword the friendly pirate, from The Wiggles. Judah is holding his sword in the picture.
