Today a friend and her little boy were supposed to come over, but he is getting over croup, so we rescheduled. Tomorrow I'm going walking with some friends (Jenna!), so today was the perfect day for a practice run (and perfect weather at 77, instead of the 104 it has been!). The practice run was...interesting. I got tired and I don't have a very good carrier for walks. I carried Silas part way in my mei tei and then moved him into the sling. We turned around about half way and went to the playground and finally made it home to eat lunch. We all took a nap until 4:45 and I'm still exhausted. I hope I survive tomorrow. I'm not sure if it will be harder or easier with friends there.
Another funny thing is how much attention we got. Seriously, even that walked by us commented. My favorite was the lady that said, "You are so cute. You look so good for having a 3 week old baby!" Love her! I guess people don't see a lady out walking with her 3 (3 and under!) kids too often.
I ordered my Beco and I cannot WAIT to get it. If you want to look it up (maybe I'll post a pic or link to it later) it is the "Natalie." I think it will be perfect for walks in the park. The walks are really interesting - and good excercise- because I push Judah and Samuel in the stroller and carry Silas. Hopefully it will speed up my baby weight loss!
I've, also, decided to cloth diaper Silas. I've noticed the longer I'm a mom the more "crunchy" (hippy?) I become- natural waterbirths, extended breastfeeding, making my own babyfood, babywearing, and now cloth diapering. I really love it! I was concerned about the chemicals in the diapers. You can see little chemical balls (I don't know the technical term..haha) on them when they pee a lot. They're also really, really easy to use. I've even gone as far as using cloth wipes!
I know everyone wants to see pictures...I'll post some tomorrow.

Wow, good for you for choosing cloth diapers! I plan on using them as well someday. I'm sure you will be saving money as well as the planet.
Have fun on your walk! Just take breaks when you need to, everyone will understand.
Thanks for coming by my blog Morgan!
Sounds like you're beginning to get into the swing of things with new baby.
I still have to check out that Beco...
So... my friend here tells me that "kalenetics" is the way to go for fast weight-loss. (I don't know if I spelled that right.)
I have yet to check into it, but even her husband does them (and he's no girlie man, being in the special forces!). appearantly it makes you really flexible too.
Like I said, I might try that program if I can get her to show me where to start.
I'm not trying to lose weight at this point - trying to keep what I have - but would like to get a littl muscle tone...
...and flexible?
That's always good! ;-)
glad to hear from you; really a treat!
Love,
Analene
Wow, I'm actually in awe right night, you are a super mom!
that's cool about the cloth diapers. i would love to use them too - one day when we have kids =)
you did amazing today morgan! just like an old pro! i guess after 3 kiddos you just bounce right back huh? we had fun, can't wait to walk again. ;) i'm quite impressed with the cloth diapers AND wipes? you're getting to be a "daisy sniffer" morgan! (that's what justin calls them!) i think its great, for you and for silas. :)
I've been "wearing" Sebastian in the sling too while pushing Halle in the stroller. My double is on backorder currently so it's a juggle for a little while longer. Glad to hear that you're getting out...and way to go with the cloth. We're making the switch soon also. It just makes sense, trying to do our part to go green I guess. Blessing to you and your beautiful boys!
Yay! If you need any help/advice with the cloth, let me know. :-) I know I asked my cloth-diapering friends lots of questions when I first started. Olivia is on her way out of diapers (except at night and we use cloth then, too). I can't wait to cloth diaper our new little guy!
