Catch Up

We have been so, so, so busy. All last week I was thinking, oh good, next week we'll finally be less busy. Sunday night Eric started to feel sick and went to bed at 8pm. Monday morning we both woke up sick. Thank goodness for Ellie, Eric's mom, for taking the kids yesterday, letting them spend the night, and watching them this morning. I think we caught the flu from Eric's brother, who wasn't feeling good while he was here. Eric feels good today and I feel much better, but still a little tired and weak.

Two weeks ago we went to Clear Lake with my mom and sister for a few days. We had a fun time swimming, walking around, playing Pee Wee Golf (Judah loves to say that), and eating. Unfortunately I've been really bad at taking pictures lately and so has Eric. Here is one with all of us.

The Friday and Saturday after we got home we went to a re-encounter, which is an encounter for leaders. It was amazing and powerful and I had deliverance like I have never experienced in my life. I literally felt like a weight was lifted off my body after leaving.

All of the girls with Pastor Margarita (2nd from the left) who led the re-encounter with her husband, Pastor Andrew. They are on Pastor Cesar's 144 and are from Bogota, Columbia

The next day was Father's Day and baby dedications. Judah has already been dedicated, but we had him up there with us to dedicate Samuel. They would not, for the life of them, stay still. They would wiggle and scream and it was getting a little crazy. It's funny now, though!

Eric's brother Scott and his wife, Caroline were here for, what seemed like, a super quick trip. It was fun hanging out with them, though. One day we went downtown and let the boys play in the fountains.

We went to the park with some of the girls from my cell group and their friends. Very fun!

Where do I begin?

The past week and a half has completely changed my life. I have never seen anything like this. Remember when we went and heard that prophet speak in San Jose? One thing he said is, "This has never, ever happened before. It's a miracle. A supernatural miracle." Speaking about what was to come. And, it's coming. And, it's here.

Last Friday night we went to Bible Study as usual. Actually, it wasn't as usual because the pastor's daughter was in a play. Judah and I went with the pastors to watch it and Eric and another guy lead Bible Study. To make a reeaaalllly long story short (the whole story) two people- a guy and a girl ended up getting saved. I went over to her and met her and talked to her about coming to cell group. The pastors asked me to baptize her and another girl. Eric baptized a guy from his cell. And, her boyfriend, the guy who got saved got baptized, too. Amazing. Incredibly amazing.

The two of them were at church two days later. We, also, had a bbq after church where I met 3 new girls that a guy had invited-his 3 neighbors. The next day at cell group 5 new girls showed up and two of them got saved (one of them was the girl that got saved at Bible Study and she brought her friend who got saved).

Then, the next weekend was the Encounter. SO MANY amazing, amazing miracles happened there! One couple, on the drive up to the encounter, talked about divorce and she wanted to kill herself. At the encounter God healed their hearts and healed their marriage. She said that she had never loved her husband more than she did now.

One girl in my cell group came in about 9 months ago. She was so hurt and so angry and would cry every single week. A few months later she ended up leaving her husband. The two of them hated eachother because of all the hurt and pain. When she moved out I literally felt her pain. I couldn't sleep for nights hysterically crying and praying and interceding for her. Counseling her and showing her what the Bible said. The last encounter she came and met God. She forgave her husband and God healed her heart. At this Encounter her husband came!!! Her husband wanted nothing to do with church and wanted to move out of town away from her, but here he was at the encounter. God completely transformed him from a prideful, angry, rejected hurting boy to a humble, open, healed and whole man. He gave a testimony Saturday night and stood up and said, "I am different." Looking at his wife said, "I don't know her. She doesn't know me. But, I know I love her." And then he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. I was bawling harder than anyone else. I felt her pain before, but I also got to experience her joy because God has used me to fight for her, for her husband, for her family, and for her marriage.

Fear had been a taskmaster that ruled my life. A slave driver. I was afraid of my kids getting sick, afraid of leaving them, afraid of them getting hurt, afraid of leading people older than me (aka my whole cell group), afraid of rejection, afraid of failure. Fear, literally, ruled me, but I had no idea. This weekend fear was broken off of me. I wasn't afraid of leaving my kids. And, the most awesome part was when I got up to teach my lessons. I wasn't even nervous. Everyone said that I seemed so comfortable and powerful. One of the other leaders said that she could see me in front of the multitudes preaching. Fear was broken!!!

The day after encounter was cell and we had two new girls show up for a total of 13 girls in my cell group. Seriously amazing! I cannot believe that God is using me. ME!!!

How can you experience God's transformation, watch people being saved (one girl who was a meth addict, but is now a preacher and woman of God only 1.5 weeks later). Seriously, preaching and sharing the gospel more than 99.99% of Christians that I know), marriages being healed. I will never be the same! God is calling me to a new level of radicalness. To lay down my life. Every single want and desire is dead (in Jesus name). My life is lived for Jesus. I want to see people saved and their lives transformed. We don't have to live in empty, powerless religion. God wants to heal our minds, our bodies, our emotions and let us see miracles. The miraculous is here, don't miss out!
