A scary night at our home sweet home!

We're back! This weekend at the Encounter was amazing, but it's so good to be home with my boys!!

Tonight we had the scariest thing EVER happen! Judah and Samuel were in the kitchen playing and Judah opened up the dishwasher. I heard Judah saying, "No Samuel, don't eat that!" So, I went over there and Samuel was eating dishwasher detergent! Eric and I didn't know that it was in the dishwasher. So, Eric started rinsing his mouth out while I called poison control. They said to make sure it was all out because it could burn his mouth or even his esophagus. Thankfully, he seems to be doing fine. They said to give him something to drink and as long as he could swallow it everything was probably ok. They just called back a few minutes ago. I think it's great that they do that.

So, we survived our first (and hopefully our last!) phone call to poison control.

Yes, it is a good program.

It's just a darn shame that the bush republicans are destroying so many good and valuable programs like that.

    :O(

My little guy drank some Shout about a month ago. Thanks to Poison Control I now know Shout is just soap and water. I'm glad everything turned out well, but I know how scary it is!

  4. I had to call them once because Mattie got a hold of a tube of toothpaste that belonged to my dad. I did not know how much was in there before so it scared me. She lived to tell about it though :o) I am glad that Samuel is okay. And what a good big brother he has watching out for him.

  6. Sorry to hear that you guys had such a scare. I must say however that I think it's AWESOME that their is a poison control in your country. We don't, so it's up to mothers intuition to decide if we should rush off to ER or not. Thankfully we have never had to. Glad he is okay!
