Happy Valentine's Day!

In the bath! 2/7/07
They're both sticking out their tongues. haha!

Do you want to know something that annoys me? That it's uncool to like Valentine's Day. It seems like so many people I talk to and so many blogs I read are like, "I don't celebrate Valentine's Day" "It's so commercialized" etc.. Personally, I LOVE Valentine's Day. I know I say this at every holiday, but it's definitely one of my favorites. I'm such a sucker for romance and during Valentine's Day you get to pull out all the stops. And, now that I have Judah and Samuel it's a special day to show my love to them. Of course, I show my love to all three of my boys everyday, but Valentine's Day is just another time to do it. My mom always gave me little Valentine's gifts, so I'm going to do the same for my boys.

We gave Judah his Valentine's gift last night- a new Wiggles dvd. Personally, I really love the one he has. The songs are so fun to sing and dance along to. But, I think it's time to add a 2nd dvd to the collection. This one is called "Splish Splash." I think it would be so fun to be a Wiggle or a Doodlebop or something like that (Doodlebops are actually freaking cute dressers!). I think I would be good at it, I love to be silly and crazy. Hmmmm, if only I didn't have to go on tour.

Anyway, back to Valentine's Day. I haven't given Eric his gift yet, but he did leave some flowers for me this morning. Judah kept saying to me, "Get your floors." I was like, what? Floors? What? Then I looked outside by the back door and saw my red tulips. :) Tonight Eric and I are going out to dinner. I really want to go to Red Tavern, this nice restaurant in town that I've never been to before, but we didn't get reservations in time. Eric called a few weeks ago and they said they were booked, but to come anyway because a lot of people just don't show up. So, hopefully that will work out. If not, I don't think Denny's takes reservations. ha! I'm also going to wear a new dress that I got that one day I went shopping downtown. Yay! I'm super excited for that.

Yesterday Judah made his very own Valentine's and picked out who to give each one to. Very very cute!
Valentines!

Yesterday I started to get very frustrated because Samuel fell asleep in the car twice and wouldn't go to sleep at nap time. (He did the same thing today.) So, I laid Judah down in his bed, but Judah heard Samuel up and playing. So, he wouldn call out to him, "Samuel, come here! I have some pepe [pizza] for you!" And, Samuel would crawl over to his room and open up the door and go right in. Judah's room is technically a den, so it has a folding wall that you can't lock. Samuel knows how to just lift it up and crawl under. This was frustrating during naptime, but when I was going to bed last night it made me laugh and tear up a little. It's just one of those things I want to remember forever. My boys are so precious together and it's so fun watching them become the bestfriends that I know they will be forever!
