Lots to say, but I don't know where to start...

Next week is Judah's last week of swim lessons. He hasn't been as excited about them as I was hoping. Most of the time he says, "no, no, out, out" unless it's time to go underwater. Then he SCREAMS "NO, NO, OUT, OUT!!!!" He loves to swim and he loves the water, so I don't know what it is about swim lessons. It's probably the forced ready, ready, unders and back floating. Maybe he'll grow out of it or maybe he'll be a golfer instead of a swimmer.

Oh yeah, I forgot...

To get the full effect of Eric's outfit you need to see the BACK of his jean jacket. It's not the best picture, but you get the point...

80s Night

Well, this is what our family would have looked like 20 years ago! Unfortunately, I was only 7 in '89, so I missed out on all the fun 80s fashion. But, last night I got to relive it. It was definitely a flashback. I even had this great idea to go to Jon & Bon's (frozen yogurt) afterwards, because why spend the money on 80s clothes if you're not going to get full use out of them! So, about 10 of us (not including the rest of my fam) went downtown. We got a lot of interesting looks, but the funniest part was that I saw a girl with my same outfit- and she WASN'T dressing up!

Two Perfect Boys!

Samuel & I had a great time in Roseville on Saturday. We dropped Holly off at the airport, then met Jill for breakfast. After breakfast we walked around the mall with Jill for a little bit until she had to work. I realized later I should have brought the camera to document the day. Next time.. Samuel did SO GOOD!!! He didn't fuss at all until we passed through Oroville on our way home. For all you Chico people, you probably don't need an explanation. :) I was able to find a lot of great sales on clothes for Judah & Samuel for next year.

Samuel is smiling so much! He's such a happy, easy baby.

Judah is just starting to put sentences together. On Sunday Eric goes to church early for worship team practice. While we were getting ready Judah said, "bye bye, Papa, chuch." Too cute! (That's how he pronounce "church," without the r).

Our family spends A LOT of time at Barnes & Noble. Today when we walked into the children's area a man said, "Wow, you must have concieved the day he was born." Pointing at Judah. I just laughed and said, "Almost." There are some people with tact and some without.

A Rough Day

Well, our day started out with my mom coming over to watch Judah, so I could take Samuel to get his 2 month shots. I thought it would be easier because I've done this once before, but oh no... It was still horrible hearing my baby cry from pain. I gave him his paci, but had to wait awhile to nurse him because there was some complications with our insurance (or lack thereof). Finally we left and came home to nurse him. After organizing and packing up some baby clothes my mom took us out to lunch to Hula's (mongolian BBQ), definitely the highlight of the day!
Since I lost my sunglasses at Laura's wedding rehearsal I wanted to get some trendy, cute, cheap ones from Lulu's. On our way downtown I see flashing lights and after a further look I see that it is ERIC!!! I couldn't turn right there, so I had to go all the way around the block with my heart beating and almost crying. I let my mom park the car, so I could run over there. The first thing Eric said to me was, "It wasn't my fault." Haha, that wasn't what I was worried about, I was just glad he was ok! What had happened is someone ran a red light, hit a truck, and that truck slid over and hit Eric's truck while he was on the other side of the 4 way stop. The truck is totaled, but Eric will get money to get a new one. So, we left because the 2 babies were in the car and Bill (my step-grandpa) said he could give Eric a ride.
I got my sunglasses, then we got some fun stuff for Judah at the Dollar Store. My mom came home with us and helped put Judah down for his nap, then she needed to leave, About a half hour after Judah fell asleep Samuel woke up SCREAMING! The screaming woke Judah up, but I couldn't rock him back to sleep because I was trying to get Samuel settled down. When Judah still hadn't fallen back asleep 45 minutes later I went to check on him and he had pooped. We got him all changed and situated and I made him stay in his crib. After 10 minutes of cryibg and yelling "out! out!" he finally fell asleep.
I picked Samuel up and carried him into the kitchen when he coughed and threw up 3 times all over himself, me, and the kitchen floor. This was not just a little bit of baby spit up, but a lot of milk everywhere! I called the nurse and she said as long as it doesn't happen again he's ok. My poor baby!
So now both babies are asleep and I'm trying not to freak out about everything that's gone on today. At least tomorrow Samuel & I are going to take Holly to the airport, go out to breakfast with Jill, then go shopping!

Yay! We're moving...

We just found out we got approved to move into Villa Del Mar, the apartments we used to manage. We're super excited- the apartment is WAY bigger, has a dishwasher, a pool, and a great location right around the corner from my inlaws and the gym. Our tenative move-in date is August 7th. This will be our 5th move in the 3 years we've been married.

The van Veen Wedding

Well, Mark & Laura are now officially Mr. & Mrs. Mark van Veen! Their wedding was incredible. It was hot (99 degrees & super humid), but I honestly didn't really notice and wasn't bothered by the heat. The wedding was too beautiful! The bride was glowing (and so was the groom), Pastor Scott did a great job performming his first wedding, and Eric & I had the honor and privilege of praying over them.
The reception was lots of fun (minus Eric's refusal to fast dance), but don't worry I made up for it with my white girl dance skills. Everyone from church agreed that we need to have weddings more often. We're just waiting for the guys to propose to their girlfriends!
It was also Samuel's first time with someone other than us. Both Samuel & Judah did AMAZING!! Samuel took his bottle well, Judah went to bed easy, and they were both asleep when we got home. I missed them SOOOO much, but I know it's good to get some couple time once in awhile.

Yay!!

I know I've blogged about Laura's wedding as much as she has, but oh well...

When I ordered my bridesmaid dress I wasn't really sure what size to get. So, using my pregnancy with Judah I took a guess and ordered size 8. Well, when I got the dress it was TIGHT, I got a little freaked out. I was a size 8 in jeans 2 months after Judah was born, but did not take into consideration how big on top I would be.
So, yesterday Laura & I went shopping and I tried on size 6 jeans...and they FIT. Only one more size to go (and about 10-15 lbs). So, I tried the dress on again today and it fit perfectly. I didn't have to suck in or squish myself down or anything. I'm really excited about that.
Tonight is the bachelorette party. I'm really excited about that, too. It will be Eric's first time alone with the boys at night and probably the longest time alone with them, too. Right now Eric is at the bachelor party. Fun stuff!

Busy Week

My last post was done one-handed. So, two posts in one day. Woohoo! Our neighbors gave us a backpack, so we decided to try it out. I want to go hiking sometime soon (on the 4th if Eric doesn't have to work in the morning and if it's cool enough). Judah loved riding in it and, of course, Samuel always loves the Baby Bjorn. Eric wasn't so happy when Judah's diaper leaked and got pee on his back, but I'm sure that can be remedied for next time.

Family Walk 7/2
(I look gigantic, next time I'm standing in the back!)

We've been busy the last couple day getting ready for Laura's shower, and then the actual shower on Saturday. And, this week we are even busier. But, it's super FUN busy! Wednesday is the bachelorette/bachelor party, Thursday is the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, Friday I get a manicure/pedicure- yay!, and Saturday night at 7:30 (well, whenever the wedding is over) Mark & Laura will officially be married!
Ok, time for another episode of Lost...

Our conversation on the way home from church

Me: Judah, are you hungry?
Judah: No
M: You're not? Are you fasting?
J: Yeah
M: Oh, you are?
J: Yeah
