Our Big Surprise (Pictures to come)

WE GOT A NEW CAR!!!! Yay! Yesterday we were given a 2001 white Dodge Intrepid. It feels so great to be driving a safe, convienent car knowing that in just a few weeks we will have 2 babies riding in there. We love our new car with power everything, a cd player, huge trunk, and a whole decade newer than the Taurus. This car is such an incredible blessing from God!

Silly Boy

A few days ago Eric & I went to a coffee shop to get mochas (like we LOVE to do!), but since they were closing we decided to drink the rest at home. I put mine up on the table and turned on the tv and Eric went on the computer. When I looked over at Judah he had dumped out the mocha, which was cold already, all over the floor and was on his hands and knees licking it up like a little puppy. We didn't get any pictures because we were so shocked at what had happened. It was the funniest thing and I'm just glad the mocha was a decaf!

Come Sweet Pea!!

We have less than a month until our beautiful (if it looks anything like Judah) baby arrives. I've pretty much decided in my mind that I'm done being pregnant. That probably isn't a smart thing to do because, I know, babies do come late. I'm hoping this baby decides to come early because I'm definitely feeling VERY pregnant. My lower body is achey and sore and when I have to tell Eric to slow down everytime we're walking I know I am *waddling.* I hate to say it, but it's true.
Also, I can't wait to hold my baby in my arms and have Judah meet his new baby brother/sister. We've actually gotten quite a bit done in preparation for Sweet Pea's arrival. All I have left is to organize more of Judah's clothes, so that Sweet Pea has room in the closet and dresser, too.
Today I bought some crinkle fries and they remind me of high school. On Wednesdays when we had our Christian club meeting I would get fries with nacho cheese. Eric thinks that the nacho cheese is disgusting, but it sounds sooooo good right now. I guess ketchup will have to do though because Judah is asleep and I can't wake him up just for some cheese.

We have some other great news, but I'm not supposed to share it yet. Eric probably won't be very happy that I'm posting this much. So, the suspense will have to kill you until I'm oked to share it...

Good Week So Far...

I wish Eric could stay home everyday. Maybe once Announcing Yours becomes more successful he will. But, yesterday he was home and we had such a fun day. We all woke up a little before 9. There's nothing like sleeping in to get your day started on the right foot. After that we went to Barnes & Noble and had $1 bagels for breakfast before reading some magazines and playing with the train. Then, we went to Costco our family's all-time favorite place EVER. Sometimes we'll even go there 3 times a week. Our favorite part is the samples. Yum! We spent the rest of the day playing and having fun.
After dinner I remembered that Tuesday is $1 scoop night at Baskin Robbins. We hadn't been to that since I was pregnant with Judah. So, I called to make sure they still had it and what did I find out? That they ALWAYS have $1 scoops now. Ummm, I should have found that out 8 months ago. Eric said that Judah could just walk around while we ate our ice cream, but I had a feeling that wouldn't work too well. Of course, when Judah saw us eating ice cream he wanted some too!!! Since I got Maui Brownie Madness that was just too much sugar & chocolate for Judah, so Eric had to share his. Judah had his first taste of Nutty Coconut ice cream and, of course, loved it.

On Monday I went down to Sacramento with Laura to look for her wedding dress. Her fiance Mark drove us down (but didn't see the dress) and also two of her other bridesmaids came. We had such a fun time and she found the most gorgeous dress. As we tell Mark, it's red & black with leather. haha
The most hilarious part of the trip was eating at Ikea. When I had gone before I remembered a food area, but I didn't know there's a full on "Bistro" with meals. As we were riding up the escalator I saw a picture of a full salmon meal for $5.99 and from then on I knew that this experience would be hilarious. The meal choices were the aforementioned salmon meal, the swedish meatballs, or for kids the mac & cheese. I kind of wanted the salmon, but I was a little nervous about ordering them in a discount housewares store. So, I opted for the swedish meatballs (Ikea is a Swedish store, right?) and a side a french fries. It was actually pretty good, but I can't get over that I ate that. Maybe I just have a weird sense of humor...
Although I did get to use the Ikea gift card we got as a wedding gift. I am so excited about my purchases! For Judah I got a train set, a cool like they have is doctor's offices, a tent, and some storage thingys. I also got a few more things that I can't remember right now, so overall it was a very successful trip.

As close as it gets to snow in California

This afternoon Judah & I had quite the adventure. All of the sudden I heard what sounded like rain, but ended up to be LOTS of hail. Judah had never seen hail and it was all I could do to keep him inside. He stared at it with amusement until it subsided about 10 minutes later.

Sweet Pea Fairchild & the Big Bubba

I can't believe we only have about 7 weeks left until Sweet Pea is here! Yesterday I had a midwife appointment and I measured only 30 weeks. Hopefully this means I'll have a small baby and not a late baby. Judah always measured small and was a healthy size, so I'm not too worried. I'm feeling bigger and more tired everyday, but Judah is such a great little boy. He loves to sit on my lap (well, to the side of my lap) and bring me books to read him. I think that his transition to big brotherhood will be about as smooth as possible.
I can't believe how much he is talking. Of course, most words are not incredibly clear, but it is obvious what he's saying. Today I told him to say Big Bird (as we were reading a Big Bird book) and it sounded pretty darn close. My current favorite word that Judah says is brother, which he pronounces "bubba." So adorably cute!!
Judah is also transitioning to 1 nap per day. This leaves me with no morning nap to get ready, but he does take a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon, which is a much needed break for his pregnant mama. I have time to take a nap myself or at least rest.

Yesterday I went in to check on Judah during his nap and this is what it found. It didn't look too comfortable to me, but hey, he didn't mind it.
