Good Week So Far...

I wish Eric could stay home everyday. Maybe once Announcing Yours becomes more successful he will. But, yesterday he was home and we had such a fun day. We all woke up a little before 9. There's nothing like sleeping in to get your day started on the right foot. After that we went to Barnes & Noble and had $1 bagels for breakfast before reading some magazines and playing with the train. Then, we went to Costco our family's all-time favorite place EVER. Sometimes we'll even go there 3 times a week. Our favorite part is the samples. Yum! We spent the rest of the day playing and having fun.
After dinner I remembered that Tuesday is $1 scoop night at Baskin Robbins. We hadn't been to that since I was pregnant with Judah. So, I called to make sure they still had it and what did I find out? That they ALWAYS have $1 scoops now. Ummm, I should have found that out 8 months ago. Eric said that Judah could just walk around while we ate our ice cream, but I had a feeling that wouldn't work too well. Of course, when Judah saw us eating ice cream he wanted some too!!! Since I got Maui Brownie Madness that was just too much sugar & chocolate for Judah, so Eric had to share his. Judah had his first taste of Nutty Coconut ice cream and, of course, loved it.

On Monday I went down to Sacramento with Laura to look for her wedding dress. Her fiance Mark drove us down (but didn't see the dress) and also two of her other bridesmaids came. We had such a fun time and she found the most gorgeous dress. As we tell Mark, it's red & black with leather. haha
The most hilarious part of the trip was eating at Ikea. When I had gone before I remembered a food area, but I didn't know there's a full on "Bistro" with meals. As we were riding up the escalator I saw a picture of a full salmon meal for $5.99 and from then on I knew that this experience would be hilarious. The meal choices were the aforementioned salmon meal, the swedish meatballs, or for kids the mac & cheese. I kind of wanted the salmon, but I was a little nervous about ordering them in a discount housewares store. So, I opted for the swedish meatballs (Ikea is a Swedish store, right?) and a side a french fries. It was actually pretty good, but I can't get over that I ate that. Maybe I just have a weird sense of humor...
Although I did get to use the Ikea gift card we got as a wedding gift. I am so excited about my purchases! For Judah I got a train set, a cool like they have is doctor's offices, a tent, and some storage thingys. I also got a few more things that I can't remember right now, so overall it was a very successful trip.
